Perhaps in the past the players might not have been all that bothered by a preseason defeat knowing it doesn’t count in the standings. That wasn’t the case Saturday afternoon.
“It’s very tough and it doesn’t matter if its preseason or regular season,” said Bryan Scott. “The one thing I noticed after this game is that guys care. You see guys around this locker room to go out and lose that way, at the end of the day it matters to us.”
“We won two preseason games, that’s no reason to come out and try to sleepwalk through a third,” said Kyle Williams. “Hopefully we’ll learn from the mistakes we made this week. And we’ll try to correct them and get better.”
